The Board is responsible for ensuring the continued smooth operation of the organization. All decisions will be made based on the best interests of the entire organization and will be made by the majority vote of the Board.
Expenditures by Board members should have approval of the Board prior to the purchase. Expenditures in excess of $50.00 must be pre-approved by the Board except for the purchase of glow balls and related supplies for the Moonlight Madness event(s).
In case of an emergency involving an officer, the Board will hold a special election.
MountainView Lady Putters ("MVLP") is a pleasant social group, whose aim is to make new friends, have fun and improve putting skills. Monthly and annual prizes are awarded using a handicap system.
Membership is open to all ladies who are residents of SaddleBrooke. Membership shall not be denied to anyone due to race, religion or national origin. Annual dues for the year, February 1-January 31, must be paid by the previous January 31st. Members who do not pay their dues by the stated date shall be dropped from membership in the organization. There is no pro-rating of the annual dues and there are no refunds.
All members are required to participate on a committee or a job assignment at some time during the year. Orientation attendance is a requirement for membership.
ARTICLE V -- TIME AND PLACE
Putting is scheduled every Monday morning (except during over-seeding). The monthly meeting/luncheon is held on the second Monday of each month. Members present at these luncheon meetings shall constitute a quorum for any organizational business decisions.
ARTICLE VI -- COMMUNICATIONS
By-laws, Standing Rules and an Annual Calendar of Events will be available to each member on the web site. Pertinent information is posted on the web site and the Putters' bulletin board in the MountainView Golf Club's Office. The Board will meet before the monthly luncheon meeting when called by the President or Vice President, if deemed necessary.
ARTICLE VII -- AMENDMENT OF BY-LAWS.
Changes to the By-laws must be approved by a majority of members present at a luncheon meeting.
If MVLP is dissolved, any monies remaining in the treasury are to be given to a non-profit organization of the membership's choosing.
