LADIES/MEN EVENT - November 4
We will be hosting our annual event with the SaddleBrooke Men's Putters on Thursday, Nov. 4. Details to follow.
YOUTH ON THEIR OWN
At our May luncheon a representative from YOTO gave a wonderful presentation. She also stated that they have a mini-mall at which their clients can get various items. Margie Nicholson and Mary Ann Cram have volunteered to collect these items from the Putters and deliver them to YOTO. They will have a box available on Mondays for the items. Please look on What's New 2 for a list of items that are needed at this time.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
The Charity Committee reports that with the generosity of our membership, we had over 60 boxes of items sorted and labeled for easy use by the schools. On July 22, Larry Ramirez, Community Schools Director, and a 2010 Graduate came to load the BIG truck and were amazed with the amount of requested supplies donated. They offered many praises and thank yous to our membership. When Dr. Rickel and Mrs. Barajas were here for the luncheon, they took five boxes of office supplies (6" notebooks, staplers, hole punches and such) with them. This is a tremendous group of ladies. By the way, an anonymous Angel came on that morning with 15 boxes of copy paper to add to the truck.

REMINDERS:
PARKING PROBLEM - Since we have begun our two tee times we have had a parking problem. Please be considerate. Golf carts PLEASE park in the golf cart parking lot. If it is full PLEASE double up and use the golf cart lines in the car lot and take one parking space for two carts. Golf carts in the cart lot can double park if you leave the key in the cart so the cart hemmed in can move your cart and get out.
SCORE CARDS - Please remember to put last names of everyone putting in your group on the score card. We have many Judys and Sandys etc. This is especially important when we have a new member or guest in the group. Anyone who is a guest should be noted. Also, please remember to check the total of your score, total and circle the number of holes in one, and initial the scorecard on the far right side edge after your score.
NAME TAGS - Many are again forgetting their name tags. PLEASE try to remember to wear it! We don't mind providing stick on temporary ones BUT it is getting expensive. We don't want to have to reinstate the $.25 fine to pay for them. Keeping track of the fine quarters is a lot of recording . AGAIN, PLEASE try to remember your Name Tag.
Club Dress Code:
To maintain a Country Club atmosphere, all Putters and guests must comply with the Pro Shop dress code. Golf shorts no shorter than mid-thigh, skirts or slacks, with blouses or sweaters. No tank tops, athletic shorts, sweatpants, tights, leggings, halter tops, swimwear or tennis attire permitted. No denim pants, denim shorts or cutoffs are permitted. Sleeveless shirts, with or without, collars are OK. Note, the majority of the shoulder must be covered. Non-compliance will result in a reprimand. Wear golf shoes or soft-soled flat shoes. Any footwear that would damage the greens is strictly prohibited. Hats, water bottles and sunscreen are recommended.
